EMDR Intensive Therapy in Ohio

What is an EMDR Intensive?

EMDR intensives provide extended, focused therapy sessions that allow us to dedicate more time to your treatment goals than a traditional weekly appointment. Rather than stopping after 50 minutes and waiting until the following week to continue, an intensive creates space for more concentrated therapeutic work.

Your intensive is customized around your individual needs, goals, and history. Depending on what you're looking for, we can work together over a half-day, several consecutive days, or structured 3-hour sessions spread over time.

Which EMDR Intensive Is Right for You?

Every person comes to therapy with different goals. Some clients benefit from a focused half-day session, while others prefer the additional time and continuity of a multi-day intensive.

Half-Day EMDR Intensive

3 hours | $490

A half-day intensive may be a good fit if you:

  • Have a specific memory, event, or issue you'd like to focus on

  • Want dedicated time to work on a particular treatment target

  • Are looking for a more concentrated alternative to a traditional therapy session

  • Have already done some therapy or EMDR and want to focus on a specific area

  • Have a busy schedule but want more time than a typical 50-minute session allows

  • Want to experience an intensive format before committing to a multi-day option

A half-day intensive provides focused, intentional time to work toward a specific treatment goal.

Multi-Day EMDR Intensive

3 days | 3 hours per day | $1,465

A multi-day intensive may be a good fit if you:

  • Have multiple related treatment goals you'd like to address

  • Want more time to explore patterns, memories, or experiences that are interconnected

  • Prefer the continuity and momentum of working together across several days

  • Feel ready to dedicate several days to focused therapeutic work

  • Have been in therapy before but continue to feel stuck in patterns that haven't changed

  • Want additional time for processing, reflection, and integration between sessions

A multi-day intensive provides additional time and continuity for working with interconnected treatment goals and experiences.

Not Sure Which One Is Right for You?

You don't have to decide on your own.

During your free consultation, we'll talk about what you're hoping to work on, your therapy history, and what you're looking for from an intensive. Together, we can determine which format may be the best fit for your goals.

Why Choose an EMDR Intensive?

Focused Time

Extended sessions give us more uninterrupted time to work toward your treatment goals.

Greater Continuity

Working for several hours or across consecutive days can provide continuity that isn't possible in a traditional weekly session.

Personalized Treatment

Your intensive is structured around your individual history, needs, and goals.

Flexible Options

Choose a half-day intensive, multi-day intensive, or structured sessions spread across several days depending on your needs and schedule.

Less Disruption to Your Schedule

For some clients, concentrating therapy into fewer, longer sessions fits more easily into work, family, and other responsibilities.

That communicates the advantages without promising results.

What is EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, trauma-focused therapy approach that can help people process distressing memories and experiences that continue to affect them in the present.

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, sounds, or tapping—within a structured therapeutic process. Your treatment is collaborative and individualized, and we'll work at a pace that feels manageable for you.

How EMDR Works

EMDR uses a structured eight-phase approach that includes preparation, identifying treatment targets, processing distressing experiences, and developing more adaptive beliefs. Bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, sounds, or tapping—is incorporated during the processing phases.

EMDR May Be Helpful When You:

  • Continue to feel affected by a past experience

  • Know intellectually that something is in the past, but your emotions or body still react as though it is happening

  • Feel stuck in negative beliefs about yourself

  • Notice recurring patterns in relationships

  • Experience anxiety connected to past experiences

  • Have a specific memory or event you'd like to process

  • Feel like you've talked about something repeatedly but still don't feel resolved

What to Expect in Our Sessions

Together, we will identify specific memories or experiences contributing to your challenges. Through focused attention and bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps desensitize distressing memories, allowing you to gain insight, release emotional burdens, and experience lasting relief.

EMDR is a collaborative and client-centered approach—you are always in control of your healing process. I provide a safe, supportive environment, guiding you through each step at a pace that feels right for you.
